111 Project

The mission of the 111 Project is for every church to commit one family to one purpose of leaving no child without a family.  At RISING Church, we partner with Live the Promise and are focused on increasing the number of quality foster families and decreasing the number of foster children without homes. To do this we are committed to raising up and supporting a foster care family at Rising Church by providing meals, meeting special needs, providing childcare, and prayer.

Amigos for Christ

Amigos for Christ is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 that facilitates water, health, education, and economic development in rural Nicaraguan communities. They exist to serve God by providing opportunities for missionaries and impoverished families to grow through life-changing experiences.

Campus Outreach | Sam Houston State

As a full-time Campus Outreach staff member, through the power of Christ and His Spirit, Darin will be a part of that call by building relationships with students and engaging in life-on-life discipleship. His end goal and hope is to see Christ worshipped in all the nations by sending laborers to the lost world, both domestic and overseas, from Houston campuses!

Out of Darkness

Out of Darkness is the anti-trafficking ministry of Atlanta Dream Center, Inc. Their mission is to reach, rescue and restore all victims of commercial sexual exploitation, so that the glory of God may be known. Our vision is a world where the ruins are rebuilt, the breach is repaired and the streets are restored.

Partners in India

Our partners live and work in Northern India in an area that is considered one of the poorest and most unreached states in the country. They do Business As Mission, and have started a textile business where they train and employ women in an impoverished area by providing a safe work environment and fair wages. Through the business they have the opportunity to share and teach about the love of Jesus, pray for their employees, provide free child care, and offer nutrition and health benefits. Their heart is to see the Lord move through Kingdom minded business in a spiritual and holistic way amongst the least reached.
To contact them about their work and ministry, ask any questions, or request to join their monthly newsletter write
The Path Project

The Path Project partners with families, schools, churches and businesses to help children and teenagers in at-risk communities close the achievement gap and find the right path for their lives – spiritually, academically, and socially. Our hope is that every child who is part of The Path Project will: know and follow God’s plan for their life (spiritual), graduate from high school with a plan for their future (academic) and become productive members of society who give back to their community (social).  To accomplish our mission the Path Project operates community centers where we offer programs such as after-school homework help, literacy-rich opportunities, mentoring, and soccer (with our FCA Soccer partnership).

Young Life | Haiti

Young Life wants every kid, everywhere to experience the message of hope in Jesus Christ. Kids in every culture respond to that life-changing message when caring adults are willing to first earn the right to proclaim the truth of the Gospel. Young Life Haiti’s motto is “Nou Kapab”– Creole for with God’s help we can!

Young Life | Middle East

Young Life Middle East is a relationship based, incarnational ministry focused on teenagers of all ethnic, religious, cultural and political backgrounds in the Jewish and Arab world, specifically in Israel and the Palestinian Territories where we currently reach out to youth.  Our mission is to present an authentic picture of Jesus and walk alongside teenagers in discipleship as they respond to the Gospel. Additionally, we are committed to helping the local Arab and Messianic church community throughout the region.

ZEAL is an organization dedicated to recruiting, sending, connecting and supporting Arab Christians in the mostly unreachable Arab world. is based on Luke 10:2 “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.  So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. RISING Church offers a one-time scholarship to Rising Church Student Ministry graduates who have progressed through the youth missions program and who are answering the call that the Lord has placed on their hearts to continue serving in an extended ministry / missionary opportunity.

Organized and sponsored domestic and global trips sponsored by RISING Church.  There will be opportunities for adults, youth and families to participate.  These encounters are designed to not only have a great impact on the lives of those we minister to but to create growth and change in the lives of all of our participants.

Nicaragua 2020

We will be serving with Amigos for Christ in Nicaragua again in 2020 from June 27th – July 4th. This is a great family or parent/child trip if you’re looking for a multi-generational experience. We’ll have an information session immediately after church in the theater on October 27th. Over the past number of years the people of Nicaragua have taken a special place in our hearts and we are excited to link arms with them once more this coming summer. Take the step, join us and see what may happen. For any further questions, feel free to reach out to Todd Wright.

Student Life Mission Camp

Student Life Mission Camp is a Christ-centered camp our 6th graders were excited about attending. It included engaging worship from experienced worship leaders, we were exposed to great biblical teaching, Bible study, community in Life Groups, and mission projects at a local food bank in Chattanooga. It was a week of focused learning, heartfelt praise, dramas, community building, teamwork, and most importantly, God’s Word. Thanks so much for your prayers and support.

RISING Church sent a team to Nicaragua to build relationships with our missions partner Amigos for Christ and the people of La Danta. We worked alongside the local families to install a water system. It was an intergenerational group so singles, couples, and families that partnered with some other stateside church groups. It was so encouraging to live and work with the local church in Nicaragua and help provide some of their most basic needs. Thanks for your prayers and support during this trip.

Tijuana, Mexico

We spent 5 nights camping at the Amor’s base camp, which meant we slept in tents, used pit toilets and bucket showers. We ate meals and worshiped around the campfire! We spent 4 days building a family in desperate need a brand new, very simple 11′ x 22′ home. At the end we had the chance to hand over the keys and the realization came that this was far more than building a home, we built hope as we shared God’s love in a very tangible way.
We are excited about the opportunity to go back to Mexico in the summer of 2020.

RISING College Summer Discipleship Circuit

This Summer RISING College undertook a brand new adventure! We spent 11 days in Mexico and Southern California – half short term missions encounter building a house for a family in need in Tijuana, Mexico with Amor Ministries and half epic discovery adventure, exploring the natural beauty of Southern California in places like Joshua Tree National Park, Yosemite National Park, and the Pacific Coast.
During our time we uncovered and explored the gifting and passions so uniquely given to us by the Lord, as a means of taking closer steps towards the purposes and callings the Lord has placed on each one of us. We received valuable resources, knowledge, and insight through exploring and developing personality profiles, spiritual gifting, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and vocational affinities & aptitudes as we sharpened each other over the course of 11 days.
Costa Rica
This trip was designated for students who had prior missions experience and were ready to work for over a week in Costa Rica by sharing the gospel with locals, spent time working in local schools, hosting a VBS for children in the area, and more. This trip was primarily for students who felt comfortable doing one-on-one ministry and were prepared to do the preparatory work necessary to make sure that they were ready to minister to the people of Costa Rica.
The Lord did incredible things in the lives of our students and leaders while on this trip. They are excited to be returning to school in 2019 to implement what they learned while on this trip.
