From Hunger to Hope

Believe it or not, this is our 10th Anniversary of From Hunger to Hope and it is right around the corner. We will be at the Gwinnett Fairgrounds March 12-15 packing over 1 Million Meals for children around the world. RISING will be packing together on Sunday, March 15th from 9-11am. We have plenty of space, so please feel free to invite friends and neighbors. You can register using this link.

Immediately after our packing session, we will have a special worship celebration at the Fairgrounds. We will not be at North Gwinnett High School that Sunday! While we are working to feed children around the world, we also want to support those in need right here in our own community. In order to do that we are asking everyone to bring a non-perishable item for the North Gwinnett Co-op. The most needed items are taco kits, laundry and dish detergent, strawberry jelly and canned fruit. (no glass jars please). Thank you!

Throughout From Hunger to Hope, we will have over 5,000 volunteers from area churches, businesses, sports teams, schools, civic organizations and scouting groups participating over the 4 days. We would like to ask your help in making sure everyone that walks through the doors is made to feel welcome and appreciated. In order to do this, we will need event hosts to greet and work behind the scenes during all packing sessions. You can use this link to sign up. Contact Dyan Finnicum if you have questions.

We will also need to stock the hospitality room for the Feed My Starving Children Staff and FH2H team and volunteers who will be at the fairgrounds for several hours each day. You can use this link to sign up to donate. Contact Anne Powers if you have questions. Thank you for all that each of you is doing to support From Hunger to Hope! If you have any questions or need more information please contact Kiersten Greeff.

Have a child or children you would like to bring? No problem! Everyone ages five and up are invited to participate and pack. If you have little ones under the age of five, RISING Kids will have a dedicated area just for them! We would like to ask that you register them in advance so we can be prepared and ready to serve them. Click here for more details.
